newsHuman Resource departments are quickly finding the need to acquire a new set of skills to navigate the intricate landscapes of the modern workplace—startup businesses, in particular. In a recent article online at the Wall Street Journal, Kinetix CHRO and FistfulofTalent.com founder, Kris Dunn, talks about key personality traits these types of HR roles need in order to influence startup leadership—who usually think a little differently than corporate executives.

“The biggest mistake [startups] make is to hire someone who’s a cop and who thinks it’s enough to have an employee handbook and just enforce the rules,” Dunn said.
